EPA reports are done periodically to ensure that everything is going up to par with each particular region around the United States. One of the latest EPA reports that were released was concerning investigations done in New Mexico. The data was an evaluation of the toxic chemicals that were being released into the air by industrial facilities located around the state. Since 1998, reports have been done on various regions to ensure that they are abiding by all of the rules and regulations that the EPA has set forth. The EPA reports were created in a means to allow American families to know where their particular state and region stands in upholding to the requirements that the EPA has listed. So far, many of the reports come back with enough efficient information that the EPA needs in order to see if they need to re-enforce their policy stronger in places or lay off a little bit if everyone is doing what they are supposed to do. The reports are being said to be an incentive to make businesses aware where some of their faults may lie. The New Mexico report recorded that they release at least 18,000,000 toxins into the
environment every single year. Ninety eight percent of the toxins that were released were done on site which includes into the air, water and land. The releasing of these toxins as everyone can pretty much assume wreaks havoc on the environment as well as the people that reside around these particular regions. Chemicals are supposed to be transported to different facilities where they can be thrown away in the means that they are meant to be disposed of. The proper disposal means do not cause a lot of damage on the environment. There is information that can be found on over 650 ways to dispose of chemicals and other things that are deemed harmful for the environment. The funny thing is a lot of things that are deemed harmful are all human made products. If we keep disposing of things and doing things that are harmful for ourselves and our environments, sadly enough we may be the cause of human extinction altogether.
